Waterproof Camping Shelter Backpack
When choosing a tarp, there are many factors, including weight, material, size / coverage, versatility, durability, and fasteners. Let's review each.
1. Weight. When comparing rain flyers, be sure to compare the same sizes. Or 12 'rain fly is a large rain fly of 144 SF which can cover 2 hammocks. It is perfect when you need a lot of coverage. However, our 10 'or rain fly can be better for hiking because they are lighter in weight.
2. Material. There are only two logical choices. Nylon Ripstop or spend more on ultra-light materials like our fortress. Ripstop nylon is light, more resistant, tear and puncture resistant and weather resistant. We rain flyers have a polyurethane waterproof rating of 2000, which is double the waterproof standard.
Fun fact: Nylon Ripstop is the main material used in hot air balloons where your life depends on it.
Note: we do not offer inexpensive polyester tarps as they are of inferior quality. Ripstop nylon material is more expensive to produce, and we simply refuse to put our name on a low quality product. We hope you enjoy our commitment to quality and value.
3. Fasteners. Make sure you choose a rain fly with a lot of ties, especially for a 12 ft rain fly, so you have a lot of options and configurations available. We supply 19th
